• Item Data: Item name, image (optional), category, quantity, item code (if any), manufacture date, expiry date, and description.

This information is used solely within the app to help you track and manage your items.

How We Use Your Information

The app operates completely offline. We do not transmit, share, or process your information on any server. All data remains on your device and is used only to:

• Calculate days until expiry
• Display item lists and details
• Send local expiry notifications

Data Retention and Deletion

You can edit or delete item data at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data.

Third-Party Services

Expiry Monitor does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. All features are built into the app.

However, note that Google Play may collect limited information such as device type or crash data, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Data Security

Since your data is stored locally, its security depends on your device. We recommend using your device’s built-in security features (like app lock or encryption) to protect your data.

If your device is lost or data deleted, we cannot recover it.

App Permissions

• Photos and Media: Used only if you choose to attach an image to an item. The app never accesses photos automatically.
• Notifications: Used to alert you when a product reaches or passes its expiry date.

All permissions are requested transparently and used only for core functionality.

Children’s Privacy

The app is intended for users aged 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us for assistance.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
